DIRECTIONS: From MD Route 219, take Rock Lodge Road to Landmark Drive (the sign says Landmark II). We are the large blue house at the end of Landmark Drive. Only use Landmark Drive as a one-way from Rock Lodge and down the hill. Unlike most Deep Creek Lake lake-front houses, we are super easy to get to - right off the 219 bridge over the lake.
PARKING: Park only on the driveway or street. Do not park on the grass. We have space for up to 4 cars. The image below shows you where to park no more than 4 cars. Park 2 cars at an angle in front of the garage and 2 cars near the tree line on the left side of the house. Do not park in the red areas.
LAKE ACCESS: Access the lake from the backyard - from the hot tub, use the pavers and walk toward Stone Tavern Lane. Then walk down the stairs and access the lake from the right side of Landmark #1. The grass area in front of the lake is shared by the 3 cabins and Lake Bear Lair. Do not access the lake by walking in between the 3 cabins.
DOCKS: Please use caution on wet docks, as they may be very slippery. Docks may also be rocky due to wind and boats. Due to changing water levels, the dock levels may change. Docks are available May through October. DO NOT attempt to move the dock.
HOT TUB: The hot tun runs constantly, heating and filtering the water. Please keep it covered and secured with a lock when not in use. The lock is necessary to protect the safety of children and neighbors. Please keep the cover on when not in use to prevent heat loss and maintain the hot tub warm. Please shower before using the hot tub - do not use it with sand or oil on your body. The hot tub is not recommended for the elderly, young children, persons in poor health, or pets. If you are pregnant, please consult your doctor first.
If a "SL" or "EC" appear on the control panel, push the following buttons in this sequence: Temperature button, then Light button, and repeat as needed until you see "ST" on display for Standard Heat.
TRASH: Trash can be located to the right of the garage (when facing the house). DO NOT leave trash at the house. Please make sure all trash is in tied bags in the garbage containers and that the trash can lids and closed and locked. DO NOT leave trash bags outside the containers - let's not tempt bears, raccoons and other critters. Trash pickup is on Monday so please put the trash cans in front of the house on Sunday night and prior to your depature.
RECYCLING: Recycling is not being picked up but you can drop off free of charge on Bumble Bee Road or off of Rt. 219 on Kings Run Road.
SINK GARBAGE DISPOSAL: Use the right side of the double sink for the garbage disposal. Do not put any food in the left side of the sink. To use the disposal, run the water and only put small quantities of food down the disposal.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Please put only toilet paper down the toilets. Please, DO NOT place diapers, wipes, sanitary napkins, etc. down the toilers - please put them in the trash. DO NOT put cooking grease down the drains.
