Deep Creek Lake Regulations
- Vessels may not exceed 26 feet in length, except pontoon boats, which may not exceed 30 feet
- Vessels must be muffled to not exceed the state noise level limit of 88 decibels
- Engines may not exceed the manufacturer's recommended capacity or displace 550 cubit inches - whichever one is less
- Parasailing is not permitted
- Hovercraft and personal watercraft (jet skis) may not be operated on the lake between 11 am and 4 pm on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays between July 1 and Labor Day
- No garbage, sewage, or other waste materials may be discharged into the water
- Houseboats are not permitted
- A fishing license is require to fish on the water of the lake. Fishing licenses can be purchased online before your visit, or after you arrive from a local vendor. Individuals under the age of 16 are not required to purchase a license.
- Free fishing days (no fishing license is requred) are the first 2 Saturdays in June and July 4th
